Forever The Sickest Kids, Live in London, at The Underworld, Camden, on 22nd September 2008.

What a night. What an immense gig. It was simply incredible. A tiny venue, an intimate atmosphere. Sweat. Jumping. Noise – great noise. Crowds. Cameras.

While we were queuing up, I got pictures with Leonard, the lead singer from Kill The Arcade, and Jonathan, the lead singer of FTSK. They’re both really cool.

We met two awesome girls in the queue outside – Ciara and Alix. We hung out during the gig, and looked out for each other.

The concert itself was amazing… Absolutely brilliant. Right now, it’s pretty much a blur. The two support bands – All Forgotten, and Kill The Arcade – were really good. Leonard from Kill The Arcade recognized me from outside, and when he saw I was singing along to ‘Happy Birthday Bermuda Triangle’, he smiled and pointed at me. The standing area was getting really crowded by the time FTSK came on, but I didn’t mind… Too much. I love that sort of atmosphere, as long as I don’t get crushed.
The band were simply the greatest. The music intense. The beat going right through your body. The band close enough to touch. Jonathan was right in front of me through the whole concert, and often fived me, or else we did knuckles, or made a heart using our hands. I ruffled his sweaty hair, and sung a line into the mic when he pointed it at the audience. Plus, I reached forward and touched the strings of one of the guitars. Can you yet imagine how close I was? I was about three people back through the whole thing, which is about a foot or less. The crowd was pretty much getting crushed, and the crowd surfers and stage divers were fun, but got a bit annoying. That didn’t stop me wanting to do it though.
The set list was fantastic. They played most of their best songs, and a couple of old ones I didn’t know, but it was great. And they played an encore – ‘Catastrophe’. It was just before the encore that I said to Ciara I wanted to get up on stage, and she tapped a big boy, and asked him to lift me up! He did, and I got over the person in front of me, and rolled over onto the stage. I stood up as Jonathan was talking, then when he was done, he kinda let me talk into the mic, and I screamed “Yeah! I love you London!” before carefully jumping back into the crowd. It was ace… More than ace – epic. The whole experience was really quite ridiculous, but really great.

The only thing I didn’t realise until after the band had finished and I was back with her was that Fran had been kicked in the head by a crowd surfer, and passed, out, only to wake up on the floor, nobody helping her. I didn’t even realise, as at this point she was about a foot away from me, and through the whole concert Alix had kinda stuck with her, while I stayed a little further forward with Ciara. She was alright, thankfully. I just couldn’t believe nobody helped her. Everything was alright in the end, though.

The night was one I want to never forget. The band are one of the greatest I’ve ever heard, and I’ve only known them for a little while! They’re really awesome, and it was one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to…

Luke, breathe...

Just chill.

You're just a teenager.

Enjoy life.

Don't think about things too much.

You're a great person, and everything will work out.

Just go with the flow...

Breathe. Haha...

Party like a student should!

I'm exausted right now. These last couple of days have been awesome, but really tiring!

On Friday night, I went out for dinner with friends, which is always really nice. It's just chill, and funny, and great to be in a big group of people. But we got done real soon, so in the end just hung out in the arcades, having a laugh like teenagers should; playing doubles air hockey - with the disc flying all over the place -, the stupid hit the ghosts of the screen game, all the usual like that. But the funniest thing was when Ben said, pointing at the screen on the outside of the photo box (like the ones you get passport photos done in), "Let's rank them on fit-ness" (referring to four girls shown on the screen), "Ugly, ugly, alright, ugly", then Scott pointed out, "Shh, Ben, they're in there"!!! And indeed, four girls were in there about to have their photo taken. It was awesome funny, but I guess heckka rude. That's Ben for you. Also that night, Emma and I got cozy. She's lovely, as ever, and was really hyper, which is always hilarious. Best thing she's ever said? "Stop it! You're TOO FUNNY!!!" I guess you had to be there. You gotta love her.

Last night, I went to a Multi-Stake Youth Dance. It was 70s themed, and I was a bit dubious about dressing up, but in the end, I wore a smart yellow shirt, with a purple skinny tie, so I could say it was 70s colours, but I still looked fit-as. This time last year at the dance, there was 500 people, so I was quite shocked when only about 150 turned up. In the beginning, I was so bored, and came to the conclusion that it was the worst dance I'd ever been to, with so few people, and so much 70s music being played. And hardly anyone was dressed up. Nothing compares to EFY dances, I know that, but this was lame. But I stayed, and I'm really glad I did, because in the end, the DJ started playing modern music, and the best was when everyone was almost moshing to Basshunter! It was brilliant. I went all out for the last 45 minutes, and did indeed sweat ridiculously, like I do at every dance. Plus, I got to dance with a couple of cute girls, which is always ace. We got back really late, but it was a lot of fun.

So yeah, that's what I've been up to in the last couple of days! I'm really loving life. I'm just really tired!

Say cheese!

School photos today. I forgot when I got up, but was soon reminded, and quickly decided what to wear with ease, did my hair, the usual. Photo day can be worrying for some people, but it was pretty chill. In fact, everything went better than normal... I even made time to analyse a film title sequence before we departed for the school. That's a rarety...

When it was time for the Year 12s to be shot, we queued up, making jokes, having a laugh. College life is pretty awesome at the moment. Everyones happy, and things are grand. Anyway, once we got in, I was - as always - interested to see the set-up the photographer had, what camera, what lens, what background, all the things a young photographer wants to see... But I just had time to sit down, smile into the lens, and then my turn was over. Everything went really well! First time was great - I didn't have to have it taken again - and then I was up and it was someone elses turn...

Now the school photos are over, I just have A Levels to worry about...! I'd better get working...

for sure.

She's ace.

Her voice makes me smile.

I'm so excited!

I heard from her just now.

I've just got back from college, and as usual, turned on my computer to check Myspace, Facebook, and things like that. I went onto my Hotmail, and had '1 New Message' in my Inbox. Could I assume she would reply to the email I sent her yesterday so quickly? I was excited, but also braced myself for disappointment...

It was from her... I was so excited!!! I can't stop smiling now! She's awesome.

That's all I wanted to say.

Completely different. Completely the same.

So I like girls... A lot. Anyone that knows me knows that about it.

But there are two main crushes in my life at the moment - among many other beautiful girls, of course... One lives near by, one lives very far away. They're interested in different things, and have different lives. I thought they were pretty different, but as it happens, they are very similar. You see, it was something that happened today, which I won't go into detail about (-not that I've gone into much detail throughout this post anway!) which really made me think "Woah!!! That's just weird!". It almost made me feel ill. This, after a couple of other things which have made me stop and think, just hit me hard.

All I'm gonna say is it involves the four words: "Cute as a button"...

The Greatest thing on Earth...

I love the Gospel. It's blessed my life so much. The Spirit is amazing, and and I love it. EFY IS the most amazing thing ever. I love everyone there so much.

Anyway, what I'm trying to get to, is the brilliant evening we had this evening. For those who are LDS, you'll know that tonight is FHE. We had the Missionaries over, and they continued to teach my school friend who's very interested in the Church, and our lifestyle. Well, just like last Thursday, we chilled after college, then had a great dinner with the Elders, followed by an amazing discussion. The Spirit was so strong tonight, and she knew it.

It makes me feel so happy and joyful... I'm so blessed to have it in my life. I love it.

Let's begin.

So I'm sorry I haven't been doing so well on this...

Ok, I haven't been doing this...

I'm still getting used to it.

Plus I've been busy... Admittedly busy wasting quite a lot of time, but busy nonetheless.

Overall, college, work, and life is going great!

Welcome to my life...

So I've been meaning to start up a blog like this for a while.

It just looked pretty cool. In fact, I was inspired by awesome, far away across the pond. You know who you are! So I'm still getting used to it at the moment, but it should be good.

I don't even know if I'll stick to it; I'm just trying it out at the moment...

So yeah, Enjoy!
